It is with deep sadness to let you know that our beloved Phil Shapkin passed away yesterday, March 27th,
Phil was the originator of the organization to oppose any development of the golf course here at CV and worked diligently for over the last 10+ years in this ongoing protest.
Phil was dedicated to protecting the welfare of all the residents here in CV and the surrounding community.
He was also active for many years in past administrations of UCO.
Phil will be remembered for his devotion to protecting the rights of all citizens within our community and other communities as well.
May he rest in peace now.
